About My Service

Training & Experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists accredited) from a well established training course at University of East London, and previously a degree in Psychology BSc (British Psychological  Society) from Brunel University. I also completed relevant short-courses in Counselling Skills at Goldsmiths University, and other established bodies.

I am a qualified, BACP & BPS registered psychotherapist, with a range of experience in psychotherapy and mental health. I have worked within the NHS over many years in areas of forensic mental health, addiction problems, anxiety and depression counselling, and Child and Adolescents Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Approach

My approach is in Integrative Psychotherapy, a more person-centered approach. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, providing services that span from therapy for depression and anxiety, addiction, grief counselling and beyond.  In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalised approach tailored to each of my clients’ individual needs to help attain the personal growth they are looking for.

I also specialise in working with children and young people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-harming behaviours.

Assessment Session

Typically, we will have an initial session in which to explore what has brought you to counselling, what it is you’re looking for from counselling. This session will last up to 50 minutes, where we can explore if we think we are suited to working with each other and then make a therapeutic agreement.

Length of Therapy

I offer both short-term and long-term psychotherapy. The duration of therapy depends on a client’s needs and concerns and this is discussed at the initial session.
Short term therapy typically lasts between 6 – 12 weeks, with a review closer to end of the therapeutic plan.

Languages

I’m a bilingual Psychotherapist, I provide therapy in both English & Turkish. I welcome everyone, from all backgrounds and ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations, classes, religions, and ages.

I aim to be sensitive to all issues, both individual and cultural. I have an awareness of cultural implications in the way certain issues are encountered, so I strive to provide a service that takes all matters into consideration.

Fees

My standard fee is £60 per 50 minute session. If you book in advance a discount will apply.

Assessment sessions are £25 per session.

I also offer some low-cost sessions for clients with low income. Please ask for more details.
